In Contact is a collection of handwoven panels joined to form larger works. Drawing inspiration from textile traditions around the world—particularly West African strip weaving, where the width of the cloth is determined by the body of the weaver—these works explore the possibilities that arise when discrete elements meet. Each panel enters into dialogue with its neighbours, creating dynamic compositions that balance spontaneity with deliberation. The joining of minimal panels generates rhythms, tensions, and harmonies, inviting reflection on connection, proportion, and the subtle conversations that unfold between materials, maker, and viewer.
