Works in textile exploring memory and material through making

Working with natural fibres, reclaimed fabrics, and textile waste, I create woven and assembled pieces that investigate the life cycle of material and the histories it holds. Tracing its journey from earth and back to it - through production, use and disposal - I explore the possibility for transformation through repair and reconstitution.

Through processes of mending, repairing, layering and intuitive piecing, my work reflects on what cloth holds: memory, labour, care and the passage of time. These material histories are brought into dialogue with natural systems through metaphor of erosion, accumulation and impact of intention materialising over time.

The resulting works offer a quiet but powerful presence, shifting the felt experience of the spaces that hold it, while inviting deeper reflection on our relationship to material, environment and memory.
