I work with cloth to think about what it means to be human
and how we engage with the material world.
Using natural fibres and collected remnants, I work through slow, considered processes of weaving, stitching and joining by hand. The precision is not incidental: it is what allows intuition to emerge, a rhythm of control and release.
These processes are acts of care and of listening, gestures that build upon one another, reflecting our relationship with the land, with one another, with ourselves, and with time itself.
Each piece becomes a quiet archive, holding the memory of touch and time.
An invitation to linger, to notice, to move with presence through the world.

Holding Patterns
Using salvaged cloth, I have been think about cycles of desire, accumulation and disposal, and the speed at which materials move through our lives against a slower, geological time. This body of work is shaped by the idea of the container: the frame, the edge, the boundary that allows this memory to be held. Layers of fabric echo sediment, compressed, preserved and transformed, moving between the fleeting and the enduring.

'Parachute' Textile Collages
An ongoing series of hand-pieced works using vintage and remnant fabrics, guided by touch, intuition, and material response. As I bring fragments together, new relationships unfold: shifting energy, establishing balance, and revealing how spontaneous relationships can create new forms of cohesion hrough difference and order from chaos.

'The Field' Mohair Panels
A collection of panels I weave by hand using handspun and dyed mohair, wool, silk, and cotton. Framed as textile fields, they invite a tuning into subtle vibration and presence, drawing on the legacy of abstract colour field painting to explore silence, simplicity, and resonance through reduced form.

'Span' Animal Fibre Tapestries
Handwoven works which arise from an intuitive engagement with natural fibres of wool and mohair and the ancient art of weaving. Each piece unfolds through the rhythm of the loom, allowing material, hand, and space to converse, yet always subtly referring to the expanse of the landscape the fibre comes from, and through which it is metabolised. Freely suspended, they are meditations on craft, presence, and the subtle relationships that emerge through making.

'Stratum' Salvage Tapestries
A series of tapestries I weave by hand from textile waste and natural fibres, examining how time, use, disposal and desire accumulate in material, revealing parallels between cloth, landscape, and geological strata. Salvaged textile waste is torn into fine strips to create a new yarn from which to begin again, laying down thread on thread as layers of sediment and a meditation on cumulative effect.

'Plant Matter' Tapestries
A series of tapestries I weave by hand using natural plant fibres, including cotton, ilala palm and vintage linen yarn. Subtle in texture and pared back in form, they speak to the integrity and softness of plant matter, tracing the landscape the fibres come from and carrying something of its quiet, natural state indoors.
